Hoyland Common Falcons Newsletter
Bringing you news, important information and all things 'Falcons'!
Welcome to the first of our new, quarterly newsletters! At Hoyland Common Falcons, we are passionate about being an inclusive, open and welcoming club. Somewhere that everyone can feel at home and enjoy being part of our community. We’re committed to bringing you more regular communication from inside the club and keeping you informed and up-to-date on all the fantastic things we’re doing. We hope you enjoy this new level of openness and transparency and, as ever, if you have any feedback we’d love to hear it!
TRAINING
As a club, we place enormous importance on the quality of our coaching staff. Training is regularly provided to ensure our team is bringing the best knowledge, skill and experience for players, on and off the pitch.
Did you know? To be able to manage at Hoyland Common Falcons, all Managers are required to have up to date Safeguarding training through the FA, First Aid training and have completed an introduction to coaching qualification as a bare minimum. This is something that continues to set us apart from other clubs.
INVESTMENT
Regular investment at the club is a vital part of our ongoing success. From training and education to equipment and facilities, we understand the importance of a well resourced club for players, staff, parents and fans.
A defibrillator has been purchased and installed on site. This is a very important and reassuring addition to the club as I’m sure you will all agree.
Responding directly to feedback, we are also investing in a new toilet block for the club which will make a big difference to everyone’s experience.
In the very near future, we are going to be investing in coaching through either UEFA A or UEFA B in order to further up-skill our Managers.
We are currently in discussion with our Managers to ensure that, next season, 2023-24, everyone has the same kit to wear. We feel this is an important move to elevate the club and support our profile as we continue to make waves!
VACANCIES
We are on the lookout for a volunteer to help manage our social media. Our aim is to raise the profile of the club, showcase team successes as well as our amazing culture and aspirations. This will be a key component in our drive to attract great quality players to the club.
The role would involve attending Sunday matches, attending training and being involved in tournaments. This role would be a great opportunity for a graduate or student looking to gain real-world social media experience. Club enthusiasts with a keen eye for social media are also most welcome to apply!
If you know anyone who you think would be interested please let them, or us know. And if that person is you, get in touch!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
A very special thank you to Kari Ann for our wonderful new website! We really appreciate all your time and hard work.
As part of our drive for greater transparency and accountability, we will be making changes to our banking structure from next season. Bank accounts will be club specific and not linked to personal accounts and each account will be regularly monitored and audited.
Sponsors wanted!
We’re looking for sponsors for all clubs and have different options available to suit different budgets.
Tier 1 includes signage on our large car park, website advertising and presence across all our social media channels. The total cost is £450 for the season plus a one-off banner charge of £60.
Tier 2 offers banner signage in our car park, for which the cost is £250 for the season plus a one-off banner charge of £60.
NEXT TIME...
In our next newsletter, we’ll be introducing you to some of our wonderful committee members as well as bringing you all the latest team updates.
“Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. I hope you found it useful and will look forward to hearing from us more regularly in the future. Our vision as a committee is to drive the Hoyland Common Falcons to greater and greater future successes. I’d like to offer my personal thanks to all those who work towards this goal because their share our vision. That includes my fellow committee members, our wonderful families, our staff and, of course, our amazing and talented players. We really do make a fantastic team and I am incredibly proud to be your Chairman. My door is always open and I welcome any feedback and suggestions you may have. Until next time, take care.”
